We have extracted and combined the best features of the Little & Big Dragon and Phoenix Furnaces to create the Ultra Dragon.
The Ultra is perfect addition to any hot shop, we designed this one with versatility in mind. It is side-fired instead of top-fired, with a Nozzle-Mix burner and variable speed blower, allowing for greater (and safer) flame turn-down than premix burners. This allows for greater control of heat ups, and ease of maintaining temperature with the Auto Control options.
The Ultra can accommodate a wide array and assortment of free standing crucibles. You can melt a single large pot of glass or try several smaller crucibles to have multiple color pots at once!* No need to commit; you can switch out with relative ease via the front door! Slower heat-up on the freestanding set-up is recommended to help prolong the life of your crucible(s).**
