Good ventilation is crucial to a safe, well-functioning hot shop (or anywhere that combustion occurs indoors)! We highly recommend our partner, Vent-a-Kiln, for their overhead hood options. With an optional swinging wall bracket, your ventilation hood can be configured to work perfectly for the specific needs of your space.

The 54" round hood with 1200 CFM negative pressure system is the best fit with our furnaces.

Why get the 1200 CFM option? The 1200 CFM (cubic feet per minute) system will exchange all the air in an average 1-car garage (20' x 12' x 10') every couple of minutes, or 25 times per hour, for example. It will exchange the air in an average 2-car garage (20' x 18' x 10') in about 3 minutes, or 20 times per hour. This means that you'll get peace of mind knowing that you're operating safely without exposing yourself, team members, patrons, or students to any hazardous fumes. Please note that it is highly recommended that you consult an HVAC professional to make sure this set-up will work for your specific space, as there are a number of site-specific factors that determine whether this is the appropriate set-up for your space. |
